Nytt utvecklingsprojekt för SuperWebb: Hotellboende.se
För cirka ett år sedan sålde Eric och jag en av våra sajter, billigarehotell.se, till Dan. Vi var nöjda med vad vi fick betalt och grät inte direkt trots att det var ett av våra mest inkomstbringande och mest succéfyllda projekt. En sak var vi dock överrens om: hotell är en bra nisch och vi ska göra fler hotellsajter.
Efter lite funderande och letande hittade vi den, tycker vi själva, suveräna domänen hotellboende.se. Den var ledig och vi bestämde oss för att försöka göra om succén med billigarehotell. Vi blev ännu mer sporrade av att Dan gjort ett bra jobb med att utveckla billigarehotell till en än bättre sajt än den vi själva producerat.
Nu börjar det bli dags att ta tag i detta. Vi har inte investerat pengar från försäljningen till Dan i något ännu och kommer därför att investera det (komiskt nog) i hotellboende. Framförallt kommer det handla om att köpa in innehåll från skribenter men även hjälp med viss teknik.
Vår tanke med Hotellboende.se är att ha en annan approach än på t.ex. Ticketz. Ticketz är en aggregerande sajt där vi hämtar innehåll som en sökmotor. Hotellboende däremot, det ska också ha en sökfunktion men ska inte aggregera information utan ha kvalitetsinnehåll. Detta gör förstås att täckningen blir sämre men att innehållet förhoppningsvis gör sajten mer attraktiv och kvalitativ ändå. Kombinationen bra innehåll, kartfunktioner, kommentarsfunktioner och tydlig katalog hoppas vi ska göra sajten till en minst lika stor succé som billigarehotell en gång var. Den här gången har vi även större muskler att köpa in mer innehåll, teknisk kunskap osv vilket banar vägen för det.
